Overview

The City of Lethbridge is presently seeking experienced professionals who demonstrate a strong customer focus and possess superior administrative competencies. Casual clerical employees work in relief capacities across our organization on an as-needed basis to provide coverage for vacation, sick leave and short-term assignments. Hours and assignments are variable, based on business unit needs and demands.  Although hours are not guaranteed, our diverse setting provides an excellent opportunity to gain a broad range of exposure within various departments in municipal government.

STATUS: Part-time, Casual  

HOURS OF WORK: 0-37.5 hours per week

PAY RATE: $30.14 per hour


In this role, you will:

·         Provide support to City of Lethbridge departments in a wide variety of administrative capacities

·         Interact with internal and external customers

·         Assist with assigned projects and events

 

What you bring to the table:

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with extensive and/or diverse administrative experience. As our top candidate, you will be able to quickly learn new systems, information and tasks and thrive in various office environments.  

 

Qualifications & Experience:

·         Office administration diploma or related post-secondary education preferred

·         Minimum one-year experience working in an administrative/office setting

·         Excellent computer skills to successfully work with a variety of software, systems and Office 365 environment including familiarity with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

·         Basic accounting and financial transactions including account payable/receivable experience  

·         Experience with note/minutes taking in meetings 

·         Comfort and flexibility with change assignments and work locations
