STATUS: Full Time, Seasonal Term
HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week
PAY RATE: $30.14 per hour
This position will report directly to the Manager of the WWTP and will be tasked with completing various plant maintenance duties at the WWTP and Lift Stations. The successful candidate will typically work Monday-Friday between 6am-3pm on a compressed work schedule. Occasional weekend shifts may be scheduled following the existing plant scheduling process. Overtime work will be available.
Specific responsibilities will include:
· Complete planned maintenance activities including but not limited to equipment lubrication, wet well, clarifier and digester cleaning, air handling unit maintenance, carbon media replacements, safety maintenance, etc..
· Document and report plant information for other staff and management
· Perform heavy manual labour for extended periods of time in various weather conditions
· General corrective maintenance work around the plant and lift stations as required
· Assist tradespeople with major equipment maintenance
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment
· Completing work orders, documenting and reporting plant information for other staff and management
· Reviewing and completing health and safety materials
· Participate in health and safety meetings

Qualifications & Experience:
· Experience completing manual labour in an industrial, agricultural or heavy commercial environment
· Formal WWTP certification or training is not required but would be considered an asset
· Ability to receive direction, feedback and complete work following standards and procedures
· Ability to complete hazard assessments and take appropriate steps to prevent incidents or injuries
· Current formal training in the following: Confined space, H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Defensive Driving, First Aid, Forklift Operation, Overhead Crane Operation, Respiratory Protection, Fire Extinguisher, Lock Out Tag Out, WHMIS
· Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written
· Familiarity with computers, data management, email and typical office software
· Demonstrated ability of engaging with colleagues and tasks in a positive, can-do manner, helping to foster a culture of collaboration and respect
· A proven ability to learn and share your knowledge with others

b. Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
c. Criminal Flight from a Peace Officer
d. Fail to Remain at the Scene of an Accident
e. Drive while Disqualified/Prohibited
f. Careless Driving
