We are looking for a dynamic and proactive individual to implement successful marketing strategies to bring events to life in the Entertainment and Event Services Department located at VisitLethbridge.com Arena (https://www.visitlethbridgearena.ca). In this role, you’ll play a key part in developing and implementing marketing strategies while coordinating and enhancing the department’s social media and websites. STATUS: Full Time Permanent

HOURS OF WORK: 37.5 hours per week

PAY RATE: $39.36 per hour


In this role, you will:

  • Design and implement marketing strategies and public relation plans for the Entertainment and Event Services department.
  • Contribute to the organization’s Business Plan objective of self-created events, identifying community opportunities and developing event execution.
  • Create communication and design engaging messaging and promotions for concerts, sporting events, tradeshows and other aspects related to the department on social media and our website.
  • Analyze and research best practices, assisting with the department’s future opportunities for special projects and events.
  • Work closely with event organizers, promoters and internal departments to develop comprehensive event packages to assist with executing events.
  • Relationship building with all media to advance communication plans.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED, plus up to two years of post-secondary education in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in marketing and event promotion including public relations, communication, new media and problem-solving in real-time is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs for document creation and layout is required.
  • Strong customer service experience, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with both staff and clients.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Regional history and cultural knowledge is an asset.
