Overview

This role supports the implementation, maintenance, and daily operations of the Homeless Individuals and Families Information System (HIFIS), contributing to impactful service delivery for those in need.

STATUS: Non-Permanent Term (up to 12 months with the opportunity for extension up to 24 months based on availability of grant funding)
HOURS OF WORK: 37.5 hours per week
PAY RATE: $36.61 per hour
About the role:
Reporting to the CSD General Manager and receiving operational direction from staff leading the HIFIS implementation project, the HIFIS Technician will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation and ongoing operations of HIFIS to ensure seamless data management and service delivery. You will work collaboratively with service providers, CSD leadership, and other stakeholders to maintain system usability, data integrity, and compliance with funder requirements.
This role is essential for achieving the goals of the Federal Reaching Home Program and expanding HIFIS usage to support Integrated Coordinated Access (ICA) initiatives.
What You Bring to the Table:
We are seeking a motivated professional that is detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise and a passion for community service.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Data Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience in technical support, database management, or data auditing, preferably in the social services sector.
- Flexible and adaptable with an ability to thrive and deliver results in a fast-paced, time-bound environment
- Familiarity with HIFIS or similar client management systems is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, database systems, and basic programming for data audits.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance standards (e.g., FOIP, HIA).
- Excellent communication skills to train non-technical users and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- City of Lethbridge applicants must demonstrate a satisfactory performance or conduct record.
This is a grant funded position and is subject to the continued receipt of funding from other orders of government.
