Overview
The City of Lethbridge Infrastructure Services division has an opening for an Infrastructure Program Assistant to join us in a term position! As part of the Infrastructure Services group, you would be assisting a dedicated group of professionals with project work and initiatives focused on supporting divisional priorities, customer needs, effective service delivery, and maintaining a supportive team environment.

STATUS: Full Time, Term – up to 6 months
HOURS OF WORK: 37.5 hours per week
PAY RATE: $30.14 per hour
In this role, you will: provide administrative support for various projects, programs, and activities across Infrastructure Services. The position acts as an assistant resource on projects by compiling information, preparing and presenting reports, and supporting divisional activities, events and programs.
- Complete clerical tasks to support various project work including collecting information from various sources, compiling information, preparing and presenting reports, and working with large amounts of data.
- Support divisional activities, events and programs by representing Infrastructure Services within the community, directing inquiries to the appropriate avenue and completing overall clerical or event management activities.
- Complete reporting and documentation with strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and professional presentation of information.
- Escalate any questions or concerns to the assigned project members to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
What You Bring to the Table:
This position is great fit for someone pursuing post-secondary education in Environmental or Traditional Sciences, Engineering, Public Administration, Management, Business, or related field who is looking to gain professional experience supporting projects and programs within a municipal environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Completion of some post-secondary education is required. Preference will be given to those who have completed a minimum of 2 – 3 years of an undergraduate or graduate program in a university or college program, majoring in Environmental or Traditional Sciences, Engineering, Public Administration, Management, Business, or another related field.
- Experience using software and technical tools to collect, organize, and compile data into reports, forms, graphs, and other supporting information.
- Previous experience completing similar administrative tasks obtained through post-secondary education, assignments, or related work experience.
- Strong skills in using various computer software including Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent relationship building skills that are collaborative, responsive and supportive.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently while paying strict attention to detail.
- Strong oral and written English communication skills, including effective listening skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with general office computer use and basic troubleshooting.
